Hello! I’m Heather, a Chicago-based wine professional, educator, and enthusiast of life’s simple pleasures. For over a decade, I’ve worked in and around the world of wine, exploring every layer of this incredible industry—from tasting rooms and sales to marketing and brand management for a national wine importer.

My journey began with curiosity about wine, which led me to pursue WSET courses and ultimately earn the WSET Diploma (Level 4). I’m also a certified WSET educator and co-founder of the Traverse Wine Institute, where I proudly teach and mentor future wine professionals and passionate enthusiasts.

My passion lies in sharing the beauty and depth of wine through its history, science, art, and culture. I love creating experiences that make learning about wine approachable, inspiring, and fun. That same passion inspired me to study in France, where I earned my MBA in Wine & Spirits Business from the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon.

Over the years, I’ve worked across sales, management, hospitality, production, marketing, tourism, and events These experiences deepened not only my knowledge of wine but also my belief that it’s one of the most beautiful ways we connect—through stories, food, and culture.

When I’m not sipping or studying, you’ll find me tending my garden, dining al fresco, exploring new cities, or walking my sweet Scottish terrier, Archie.
